Excerpts from The Handbook

Book Cover

“Reactive Bodies feel and perceive the world more intensely than most. This hyped up sensitivity increases the risk of becoming over stimulated and exhausted; and thus short-tempered with those we love. You hear that? Reactive Bodies are easily over stimulated because they feel the world more intensely. A Reactive Body is not a psychosomatic illness as some people, and even many professionals, believe. If they had a Reactive Body, they would not talk so foolishly!”

“That fresh lemony scent that many people seem to find so appealing apparently increases your Reactive Body symptoms. You suddenly realize that every time someone does the dishes you get a headache. Take a half second to congratulate yourself on finding new relevant data. Then quickly open a window and maybe a door to achieve cross–ventilation. Put yourself in the path of the fresh incoming air. If you feel better immediately you then have further confirmed the reliability of your data.”

“A Reactive Body having a flare-up is not a pretty sight. One might experience rashes, nausea, dizziness, achiness, fatigue, swelling, and sweating. You might become forgetful and confused; have difficulty staying focused. It is possible to feel especially manic or ADHD or both! Anxiety and panic often accompany the beginning of a big time flare-up. Once you get a low buffer warning (i.e. headache, weakness, sore throat, skin and aromatic sensitivities) you can implement one of the many Coping Strategies outlined in this book to help keep yourself together.”

“Many (but certainly not all) of the chemical triggers that effect chemically sensitized people are known or suspected to be linked to increased risk of cancerous tumors in mammals. The majority of these chemicals and chemical combinations did not exist even one hundred years ago! Ostensibly, the greater the amount of cancer trigger molecules you are exposed to, the greater the risk of your body coming out with cancer. You come down with a cold. But you come out with cancer. There is a subtle difference. Cancer is an environmental disease and, unfortunately, some genes seem to make one more susceptible to it. Makes plain sense that your body wants to tell you to stay away from them!”

“I’ve been practicing these methods for 20 years, and still need to stay alert and practice being a molecular Sherlock Holmes every day. Because of my vigilance I rarely need chemical medicines or MDs and enjoy generally excellent health.
